Thursday, Aug 18, 6:00 pm at Pierce Park – Please join us for a pleasant summer evening. We’ll have ice-cream sundaes with all the toppings to enjoy. This is a chance to visit with like-minded friends and make new ones. We’ll have a short meeting at 7pm to share the results of our community survey and identify folks interested in the different Action Items that came out of the survey.

Ann Arbor City Council is considering an Ice- Free Zone resolution on Feb 2.

A pretty comprehensive list of mutual aid for Immigrants, legal defense funds, individuals and businesses whose lives and livelihoods have been interrupted by ICE in the Twin Cities.

January 20. Standing room only crowd gathered to demand the Jackson (Michigan)County Board of Commissioners rescind the 287g agreement with ICE. While the commissioners did not comply yet, the Jackson County for Immigrants Coalition is mobilizing everyday to GET ICE OUT. Let’s do what we can to support. Will post more info as we receive.

MIRA (Movement for Immigrant Rights Action) is calling upon the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners and the Ann Arbor City Council to establish policies that deny ICE access to resources in ANY municipal building, facility, or program. Please join them at the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners meeting on Wednesday, January 21, 7 pm, at 220 North Main St. They will demand that the county adopt an ICE-FREE ZONE policy – denying ICE access to county buildings, properties, and activities to ensure that public services are safely accessible to all residents.
