OWOF Chelsea invites you to join us for a fundraising dinner on September 10 from 5-8pm. All funds raised from the event to support JCIC – Jackson County Immigrant Coalition. Take out or eat in and see a movie at 7pm,”Un Dia Normal”.

Un Día Normal (A Normal Day) is a 2024 award-winning drama short film directed by Maurizio Dominguez. Filmed in Southwest Detroit, the 31-minute movie follows Esmeralda Monzón, a DACA recipient who must fight through a panic attack to prove her legal status to ICE officers without exposing her undocumented mother. Food choices:

Option 1:
Tacos Doraditos Four rolled corn tortillas, deep fried with choice of shredded chicken or potato filling. Topped with lettuce, cotija cheese, sour cream, and side of green salsa. Comes will rice and beans.

Option 2:
Enchiladas. Four famous enchiladas filled with a choice of chicken, beans or cheese. Come with rice and beans.

Price for each option is $20. (Tacos vs enchiladas cannot be mixed.)

Beverages will be available for those who join us for the movie.
